Lavistown House is a Georgian Farmhouse built in 1810, nestled into the banks of the river Nore and located just downstream from Kilkenny city. The house is a typical example of Georgian architecture set into rolling farmland and almost two acres of gardens. The house is also home to our courses which we run every year and which are presented in our refurbished barn – The Garden Room- at the back of the house.
There you can learn to make a basket, bake bread, understand bees, learn about ecology, garden skills and more.
